Brachiosaurus was one of the largest animals ever to walk the earth. Brachiosaurus had a relatively short tail for a sauropod, with a very long neck and long front legs, giving it a very giraffe-like stance. This giant sauropod lived during the Jurassic Period, about 150 MYA. When full grown, Brachiosaurus would have been over 80 feet long, and weighed about 50 tons.
When this extremely large dinosaur was first discovered and mounted, it was believed it would have dragged its tail along the ground, the front legs were positioned in a semi-crouching stance. This historic model was sculpted by Japanese Paleo-Artist and Sculptor Kazunari Araki.
Crafted in poly-resin for detail and beauty and finished with acrylic resin paint for durability, this model is a stunning, but affordable, museum quality display.
