Einiosaurus procurvicornis is a ceratopsian dinosaur from the Two Medicine Formation in Montana. They grew to about 6 meters in length and are characterized by a short frill, low rounded supraorbital horns and a forward curving nasal horn. There is some evidence to suggest that these medium sized animals traveled in large herds, unlike their larger cousins, Triceratops and Torosaurus.
This well-preserved predentary would have belonged to a young dinosaur with a skull length of about one and one-half feet. The predentary attached to the front of the lower jaw (dentaries). It would have been used to cut or break off sections of plant material, which was then ground with the batteries of teeth in its powerful jaws.
This predentary would make an excellent addition to any Ceratopsian study set or display.
